Welcome,

I imagine that if you are reading this it is because you or someone you know, are going through a hard time and need some help to make sense and cope with what is happening.

When I was going through some tough times I went to see a therapeutic counsellor. I was nervous and anxious and wondered if I would be able to speak with someone I did not know about my concerns, difficulties and what was troubling me - Yet I know that it really helped me to come through those hard times.

Therefore it seems to me that the most important when you are looking for a counsellor is for you to meet someone you can be at ease and get on with, talk to and trust.

This website

highlights some of the questions you may have when seeking counselling as well as some of the issues you might want to bring.

It will also give you some information about my counselling training and experience as well as my therapeutic approach.

I hope that this site will give you some sense of me as a person and as a counsellor living and working in SE13.

I also offer counselling in French and you can read more about this - in French - on the page Counselling in French.

You will also find some details about practical matters like how to get in contact with me and what happens during the first meeting and the following sessions.

My practice in the Gatehouse is a safe place set apart specifically for counselling in SE 13. The Gatehouse counselling room provides a 'threshold' space - where we can step back from the stresses and demands of everyday life and take stock; - where we can talk about our difficulties, struggles and concerns which helps to come through them in our own good time; - and where we can ‘be with our life’ as it has been so far as well as with what we hope for it / want it to become.

Gatehouse Counselling

is in South East London, in Lewisham, at the border of Blackheath and Lee, near Hither Green , Greenwich, Kidbrooke, with Ladywell, Depford and Catford just a bit further away.
